Can your dog actually hike here?
Every park and public land on this trip, plus the ones I cut or passed on, sorted by whether a leashed dog can use the trails. 51 yes, 17 partly, 20 no. 17 more, the state parks we sleep in, show up once we've been.
National parks are mostly strict; national forests, BLM land and state parks usually aren't. The rules here came from each park's pet page before we left, and I correct them as we go. Rhea is never boarded or kenneled. Where she can't go, we find somewhere she can.
