Can your dog actually hike here?
Can dogs hike in Letchworth State Park?
Yes Yes. A leashed dog can use the trails.
Leashed dogs are allowed on every trail, including the Gorge Trail along the rim.
Where dogs can go
All trails and day-use areas on a 6-foot leash, as a midday stop on the drive to Niagara.
Watch out for
Not allowed in buildings or on boardwalks. The Gorge Trail runs along the rim: keep the leash short at the edges.
NY. On our route: Today. Rules change: check the park's own pet page before you go. Rhea is never boarded or kenneled; where she can't go, we find somewhere she can.
