Can dogs hike in Indiana Dunes National Park?
Yes Yes. A leashed dog can use the trails.
Leashed dogs are allowed on every park beach year-round (the West Beach swim area only in summer) and on most trails.
Where dogs can go
The Lake Michigan beaches and most trails, on a 6-ft leash.
Watch out for
Not on Pinhook Bog Trail or the equestrian Glenwood Dunes trails. The state park inside it bans dogs from its beach.
