Can dogs hike in Grand Canyon National Park (South Rim)?
Partial Partly. Some trails and areas, not all.
Dogs can walk the 13-mile Rim Trail above the canyon but no trail below the rim.
Where dogs can go
The Rim Trail, the Desert View Drive overlooks, the campground and roads.
What we do instead
Petrified Forest the next day, where she is allowed on every maintained trail.
Watch out for
7,000 feet: nights in the 20s.
