Where he slept: In Rocinante at Eleanor Brace's house, two nights (Steigerwald)

His agent insisted he visit, so he spent two days with her friend Eleanor Brace, ate Maine lobster, and bought a kerosene lamp in Stonington. He wrote that the island "must disappear when you are not there."
